MULTIWIR gas washer is used for cooling and cleaning hot flue-gases,
as well as for saturating them with water vapour. It is applied as a
carbonation gas washer in many sugar factories in Poland.
The apparatus is made entirely from stainless steel and consists of two
parts: a lower part equipped with a bubbler, and an upper part containing
Multiwir metal packing covered with a perforated plate which operates as a
water distributor.
The device combines the operating principle of a bubble washer with
Multiwir separator. The bubbler cools the hot inlet gas stream and
saturates it with water vapour and mist. Multiwir packing is assigned for
the actual dedusting process. Dust particles settle on packing strips and
are rinsed by fresh water. |
